Australia Accommodation

Australia has some absolutely amazing accommodation and we'll be showing you the best of the bunch on the East Coast. The majority have full kitchen facilities, a TV lounge, internet and are often close to the beach and/or have a swimming pool.


Stray Australia Adventure Tours

Accommodation: Shared 4-8 bed mixed-sex dorms (female only option available in most locations).
Cost: Included 

Dorm-share accommodation is included for each night of the tour itinerary. We stay in hostels, eco-lodges, boutique backpacker resorts, cabins and 2 nights sailing in the Whitsunday.

We stay in some awesome places like:

The Surf House located in the centre of Byron Bay

The newly renovated Roamer hostel in Brisbane

Bounce resort hostel in Noosa and Magnetic Island

• In villas at an Eco Resort in Bargara

Also in beach cabins under the stars on K’gari, sleep below deck (or on) deck on an ex-race maxi sailing yacht plus plenty of other great hostels…

 

Stray Australia Select Tours

Accommodation: Twin/double private rooms.
Cost: Included (Additional upgrade required for single private rooms).

Stay in private twin/double share accommodation in a mix of hotels, hostels, resorts, cabins, villas and even 2 nights glamping in safari tents on our Australian small group tours! 

Some highlights:

Start the tour off in style at the Vibe Darling Harbour

• Glamping safari tents at Eco Retreat on K'gari (Fraser Island)

• Self-contained villas at an Eco Resort in Bargara 

• Three nights in spacious rooms at Colonial Palms in Airlie Beach

• Stay in cute cabins at the newly renovated Bounce Magnetic Island

All accommodation rooms are twin/double share and include a private ensuite or bathroom with the exception of the following:

  • your accommodation at Bounce Magnetic Island where bathrooms are separate and shared between up to 4 people.
  • your accommodation at YHA Blue Mountains, Port Macquarie and the Surf House in Byron Bay where the number of rooms with ensuites are limited.

If you are travelling by yourself, you will be paired with another traveller of the same gender to share a room (unless you purchase a solo upgrade).
