Stray Ltd. Privacy Policy

At Stray we care about your privacy and value the personal information you share with us.  Our privacy policy explains what personal data is collected and how this is used. By using our website and services you are consenting to the collection, use and storage of this information in the ways disclosed below.  

Information we collect

Stray collects information necessary to deliver our services, products and information to you or a booking agent on your behalf.  If you use a booking agent to book with Stray, Stray will collect your personal information from the booking agent. Stray collects personal information from individuals booking with Stray, those applying for employment at Stray, those who sign up to the Stray newsletter database and those who opt in to participate in a Stray competition or event.  

This personal information is submitted originally by you at your full permission either directly to Stray or to a booking agent and includes but is not limited to: full name, address, email address, telephone numbers, country of origin, demographic, interest or preference information, passport, insurance and travel medical information, comments that you provide us and payment information (which is collected via secure DPS).

How this information is used

We collect this information to provide you with our services and communications regarding Stray products/purchases, email you with updates and news, respond to your enquiries or requests.  Your information is stored on secure databases at secure addresses and protected from unauthorized access.

We provide personal information collected where necessary to third party suppliers and providers that have operating contracts with Stray.  This may include staff employed by Stray, activity/accommodation providers who are partnered with Stray or web/marketing/communications agencies who are contracted by Stray.  By using our website and services you consent to this disclosure.  We do not otherwise sell or give personal information that you have submitted to us to any third party.  

Payment information is collected DPS and is subject to DPS’s secure service and privacy policy.

Stray loves Cookies

We use cookies to better understand how users interact with our websites and to understand what you are interested in, so we can personalise your experience.  As you browse our websites (www.straytravel.com and www.straytravel.asia) advertising cookies may be placed on your computer so that we can track website activity and interactions. Cookies allow us to better understand our customers through data analysis and also enables us to present you with retargeted advertising on other websites based on your previous interactions with Stray. Collecting cookies is not the same as collecting personal data; cookies will not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, or telephone number. 

Display Advertising and Remarketing

We use the following Google Analytics Features: 'Remarketing with Google Analytics' and 'Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting'.  While you browse our website, Google Analytics collects additional data via Google advertising cookies. If you do not want Google Analytics to collect this data while you are browsing our site, you can opt-out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We use the data collected for Google Adwords and facebook advertising for remarketing.  If you would like to opt out of Google Ad Words remarketing campaigns please email us the IP address you would like to excluded: marketing@straytravel.co.nz.

Cross Device Remarketing

Remarketing Audiences collected by Google Analytics can be used across devices for Adwords if you have a google account and have opted in to cross-device remarketing (find out more about controlling your Ad Settings). Google associates your browsing history across multiple devices when you're signed in to your Google account. You may then be served remarketing advertising when browsing on your desktop, mobile or tablet. We do not have any access to your google account. This is kept private by Google. 

Can I change my information? Who can I contact?

If you are a Stray passenger and would like update/correct your personal information, you can do this via through the Stray passenger portal.

If you would like to opt-out of newsletter communications or update your contact information on our newsletter database, please use the unsubscribe link in the email footer alternatively you can email marketing@straytravel.co.nz

Links to other sites

On the Stray website you may come across links to other sites that we think you may find useful or relevant based on the content you’ve been viewing on our site. We do try our upmost to ensure these sites are reputable, nevertheless we can not be held responsible for the content or information collection policies of other sites, including any links included in our travellers’ reviews, message boards or blog comments. If you find yourself on another website as a result of a link from Stray’s website, please review their privacy policy before providing any personal information.
