THINGS TO SEE AND DO

Noosa beach footprints

Make footprints on the beach

As well as the three main beaches in Noosa, there are a number of coves and bays to explore around Noosa Head. You'll find tranquil, patrolled waters for swimming, as well as beaches with bigger waves for surfing. There are surf schools for beginners and if the sea is calm, you can snorkel around the rocky headland. There are plenty of beach front cafés and bars - so if you prefer a less active day, just kick back with a beer and watch the surfers at first point from the Noosa Surf Club bar.

Navigate the River and Everglades

Noosa has 40km of river and waterways to explore. Take a high adrenaline jet-ski tour or a slower, more eco-friendly electric boat. There are kayaks, SUPs, a river fishing safari or sunset cruises. We also venture a little further north to the Everglades. Board a kayak from Boreen Point to discover the narrow rivers. And if you want to cool off, stop for a quick dip in the Everglades. This is the one that doesn't have alligators...

Hike the National Park trails

Noosa is a National Park with a difference. A section of it covers the Noosa Heads coastline where the forests and trails meet the sea. The 2.7km walk to Hell's Gate will give you the chance to see koalas having a nap, or turtles and dolphins in the waters below. Between June and November, you may even be lucky enough to spot a humpback whale on their migratory journey. There are trails and look out points with amazing views throughout the Park.

Enjoy the bar and café culture

Get a taste of craft beer at Land & Sea and Fortune. Fortune is the distillery on site: so you can sample a gin, vodka or whisky while you're there. Talking of whisky, Whisky Boy is close to Bounce Noosa and has a delicious menu, while Flux offers cocktails and beers with sensational river views. And don't miss the Sunset bar at Noosa Boathouse. It's a great place to chill out and watch the sun go down, and it really is on the river - floating, in fact! And on the Select tours, our accommodation at Habitat Noosa has it’s own onsite microbrewery - how convenient!
