On these Stray Tours, you'll stay in comfy 3-4 star hotels for most nights and high country farms or scenic lodges close to the waterfront or national park in our unique destinations. Hotel rooms are ensuite, while shared facilities are in Strademark places. Upgrade to solo occupancy may be possible and subject to availability.

Stray NZ Adventure Tours (a different kind of brand new tour)

Hey there, future Stray Mates! Got that backpack ready? We've got some epic news about your upcoming NZ Adventure Tour that'll have you packing your bags faster than you can say "kiwi bird."

First, let's talk about where you're going to kick back after those long, adventure-filled days. Trust us, this isn't your average hostel stay; think quality, comfort, and location, location, location! From quality comfy hostels/backpackers to scenic lodges with waterfront views and high country farms smack dab in the heart of New Zealand's gorgeous landscapes, our spots are as unique as your travel tales.

Fancy a bit of privacy? Depending on availability, you can upgrade to solo occupancy. Just get in touch and we'll sort it out for you.

Now, let's dive into some of those magical places where you'll be hanging your hat.

Blue Duck Station is a backpacker's paradise where you get to dig into gourmet organic food straight from the farm at the Blue Duck Cafe. And, oh boy, are you in for a treat - two nights in our cosy eco-cabins, nestled in the heart of this high country haven. Sweet as!

Kohutapu Lodge, where the incredible Maori hospitality makes you feel right at home. Get ready to dive into their delicious traditions with a chance to taste, and even help cook, your own 'hāngī' food in their earth ovens. Plus, an overnight stay here means waking up to stunning views of Lake Aniwhenua.

The Barn is tucked away in the Marahau Valley with postcard-perfect views of the Abel Tasman Coast. This is not just an accommodation, it's your ticket into the epic Abel Tasman National Park. And those night skies? Step outside your cabin and look up - it's just you, a million stars, and the Milky Way. No biggie.

And the best part? Each spot comes with private rooms and shared social areas. It's the perfect mix of "me time" and making new mates on the road. Keep in mind though, your private paradise might not come with an ensuite, and room upgrades aren't available in Hahei. And remember to ask at check-in if you fancy an upgrade once your trip's started, as it all depends on availability.

Thinking of arriving a bit earlier or extending your stay? Give us a shout and we'll help you sort your pre or post-accommodation.
