WHAT IS INCLUDED IN OUR TRIPS 行程包含
Private transport with a Mandarin speaking guide.
Accommodation at each overnight stop in allocated twin share (male or female) rooms. Passengers must be 18+ years to share a room with an un-associated traveller. Passengers under 18 will be required to book and travel with a legal guardian. Accommodation is not included on the final travel days.
Triple rooms can be requested upon booking to accommodate up to 3 people. The triple room may have 3 single beds (the third bed may be a fold-out bed or a bunk bed depending on the accommodation provider) or 2 large queen/double beds. These rooms have limited availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Activities as stipulated in the itinerary. At each destination a selection of extra optional paid activities will be made available on a pay-as-you-go basis to provide passengers more choice based on their personal interests. Passengers can also choose to pre-book activities with our customer service team in order to ensure a place during peak season.
Optional activities cannot be cancelled once booked. Stray will charge 100% of the activity fee in the event of a cancellation. Please think carefully before booking activities via the Stray drivers or Stray customer service team.
Meals only if stipulated on your itinerary (B) = Breakfast, (L) = Lunch and (D) = Dinner.
TRAVEL INSURANCE 旅游保险
Travel Insurance is not included with our tours. We strongly recommend that passengers have their own insurance to cover against illness, injury, loss, damage to personal belongings and inability to travel on the confirmed departure date.
Stray’s preferred insurance provide is World Nomads Travel Insurance which is available to people from over 140 countries. It’s designed for adventurous travellers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and a range of adventure sports and activities.

Stray’s New Zealand travel products are not suited to children under 7 years. Those aged 7 – 17 years at the time of travel are considered a Child and are permitted to travel if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children are entitled to a 15% discount off the full retail price of Stray Tours. Children aged under 7 must travel in an approved child booster seat. It is the legal guardian’s responsibility to supply this for the trip.
LUGGAGE AND BELONGINGS 行李和随身物品
Our vehicles have limited space so please limit luggage to one suitcase/or bag per person with a maximum weight of 20kgs. In addition, we suggest a day pack for cameras, valuables, raincoats and items you will need to access throughout the day. Stray cannot under any circumstances take any responsibility for any personal effects.
Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or sickness to any customer or damage or loss of property while they are utilising Stray’s services. We also take no responsibility for any act of neglect by any third party operator or company whose services are used as part of your trip including but not limited to activity and accommodation providers.
CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL 旅游条款
Stray reserves the right to alter the route or itinerary of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary.
No refunds will be provided in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. Stray cannot guarantee pick up or drop off times and is not liable for a passenger’s failure to connect with other services or any costs associated in such delays. Components of our trip are weather dependent and Stray cannot be held liable if certain activities are not available on the day of travel.
Accommodation for the standard tour is twin share. Single Room upgrades are available for a supplementary fee. Solo travellers who book a standard Twin Room package will be allocated to share a room with a Stray passenger of the same gender. Solo passengers must be 18+ years to be allocated a twin share room.
ITINERARY DISCLAIMER 行程单免责声明
Itineraries are correct at the time of printing. Occasionally our itineraries change as we make improvements in our product based on customer research, or there are changes in the offerings from operators we use. If we are unable to utilise a product, service or activity detailed in our itinerary, a suitable alternative will be offered where possible.
Stray is not a common carrier and therefore can refuse to carry a person whose behaviour is detrimental to the enjoyment of the group.
By travelling with Stray, you agree to accept the authority of the guide and accept their decisions. Our staff are entitled to a safe working environment and our passengers to a great holiday. Any threats to safety, being physical or verbal, or inappropriate behaviour may result in the passenger being removed from the trip. If a passenger is removed from a tour due to behavioural issues, no refunds will be given and the passenger will be responsible for their own travel costs from that point.
We reserve the right to impose a fuel surcharge should the fuel price increase following pricing/brochure release. This will be at a maximum of $20 per person per tour and payable on tour dispatch.
King Kiwi (National Tours) include a domestic flight and transfer. Bookings made less than 30 days from the Departure Date, or those travelling during holiday periods may incur a flight surcharge.
FITNESS REQUIREMENT 身体要求
Stray’s tours are based on active outdoor adventures so a reasonable amount of fitness is required. A passenger will need to be able to walk up to 2-3 hours each day. Other optional activities we promote include walking, cycling, water sports and wild life watching in the natural environment. If you have any concerns regarding your suitability for our tours, please discuss this with our reservations staff before booking.
Should you wish to raise any issues about your trip – please in the first instance advise your guide of your concern. If your issue is not resolved, please email [email protected] as soon as reasonably possible, and within 28 days to enable us to investigate your concern. We will not consider claims made after 28 days.
PRE-DEPARTURE CONFIRMATION 行前确认
You are required to reconfirm your tour details (pick-up location, time and departure date) by either calling our Auckland Reservations team on +64 (0) 9 526 2149 or by emailing [email protected] at least 48 hours prior to departure. At this point we will also advise of any other important information relating to your tour.

DEPOSIT PAYMENT 定金
A 20% deposit secures your seat at this rate. The final balance must be paid 31 days before your tour departs. If you purchase a tour within 31 days of the departure, the full payment is required to confirm your booking. Deposits are non-refundable. Please note that customers are liable for the full rate at the date of booking.
20% deposit is refundable only for passengers who booked Woolly Sheep and/or Blue Bird AND their visa rejected by Immigration New Zealand AND can provide the rejection letter from INZ at least 31 days prior to departure. Standard cancellation policy applies within 31 days of departure
Deposit is 100% non-refundable for King kiwi customers
