The Centre of New Zealand Walk is the most known and iconic walk in Nelson and got its name due to its usage as a central survey point in the 1800s. The starting point of this track is the Botanical Reserve of Nelson.
There are a couple of different routes you can choose from to get to the top; it is a nice walk that is steep but short. After reaching the summit, take your time and enjoy the beautiful view over Nelson and its surroundings.
This walk takes approximately 1 hour.
