You can book all your accommodation and activities at the special Stray rates, through the Stray Mate App!
First things first, you'll need to set up a Payment Method.
Stray Mate works with Visa/Visa Debit, Mastercard/Mastercard Debit or AMEX to make bookings via the App.
The first time you add the payment method, you'll need to approve a $1 authorisation charge, this will be refunded later and your Credit Card details will be saved.
You can then return to the booking page, and create your first booking.
Booking accomodation in Stray Mate
You can book and pay for your accommodation each night via the app and you'll receive the special Stray Rate!
On the days you are travelling on the bus, at every Stray overnight stop, we guarantee a dorm bed allocated for you at the Stray Preferred accommodation. The Stray preferred accommodation is marked in the App.
Make sure you book your bed for the following night by 4pm the day before.
Cancelling an accommodation booking: If you need to cancel, you can cancel your booking in the App. Check the Cancellation Policy of the accommodation provider in the App. In most cases, if you cancel up until 4pm the day before your booking, you will incur a 5% cancellation fee. If you cancel after this, you will be charged 100% of the fee.
If you've cancelled your bus sector, remember to cancel your accommodation/activity bookings too.
No shows: If you don't check in for accommodation you have booked, you will not receive a refund.
Waitlist/Standby: If you are waiting for your seat on the bus to be confirmed, please don't book accommodation and activities in the next destination until it is confirmed.
Straying longer: If you want to hop-off and stay at the accommodation longer than the bus, you can book for more nights, but your booking will be On Request until the operator confirms there is space available.
Booking activities in Stray Mate
You can see what activity options are available in each destination we visit. You can book and pay for your activities via the app and you'll receive the special Stray Rate.
Cancelling a booking: If you need to cancel, you must cancel your booking in the App. Check the Cancellation Policy of the activity provider in the App. In most cases, if you cancel before the cut off, there will be no cancellation fee. If you cancel after the cut off, you could be charged up to 100% of the price.
Refunds can only be made to the card that made the booking.
No shows: If you don't arrive for the activity you have booked, you will not receive a refund.
