Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls was so named because someone thought that it looked like a bride’s veil. The falls are 55 metres high and the Maori name Waireinga translates to ‘leaping waters’. 

From the road it's only a 5 minute walk to the top of the falls, or you can take the stairs right to the bottom of the waterfall (a 15 minute walk to the base) for an even more impressive view and a beautiful picnic area.
