Gunn's Camp is a tranquil, secluded getaway in the Hollyford Valley. There are great hiking tracks through the native bush. Keep an ear out for the calls of Kaka, Tui and Bellbirds.
There is a museum on site which tells the history of Gunn's Camp, which was originally built in 1938 to accommodate men who were working on the roads in the area.
There is no phone coverage or internet here, you really are off the beaten track!
