TROUBLE SHOOTING

There are a few circumstances that may make it difficult for you to book online – these are outlined below, if you fit any of these circumstances please call the Stray office on 09 526 2140 or email Cette adresse email est protégée contre les robots des spammeurs, vous devez activer Javascript pour la voir. and we will help you.

1. If you do not start your pass at one of the gateway cities (e.g. Auckland, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch).

2. If you do not do the normal circuit/loop in sequence i.e you jump a head and miss out locations and then want to go back and do them at a later date.

3. If you re-travel any part of your pass i.e. use ‘unlimited travel’.

4. If you are on the Bret or Short Bret pass – this sometimes can create confusion as you have to repeat some sectors of the pass.

5. If you hop-off the bus and try and update your pass BEFORE the driver does, then it might show that you have traveled further than you actually have, and it won’t let you book ahead from your current location i.e. If you book a travel day Maketu - Taupo, but get off in Rotorua, your booking will show you as being "in Taupo". Therefore you won't be able to book from Rotorua to Taupo until the driver updates their manifest after Rotorua and advises the office.

6. If you’re travelling on the STRAY EVERYWHERE pass and if you don't do the GO EAST part on the way south from Auckland. This can cause problems by going out of order around Maketu - Rotorua.
